2002 Ride Photos and Details
Our 2002 Annual Rouse Hill BBQ Community Bicycle Ride was held on Sunday, 20 May 2002, and it was a great success. There were some 130 riders and families attending this yearþs event.
- 96% of riders agreed improvements could be made for cycling in Western Sydney.
- 78% of riders rode once or twice a week or
- There was a fairly even spread of participants across council areas, Baulkham Hills (19%), Blacktown (27%), Hawkesbury (27%) and Parramatta (27%).
- 90% of riders regarded the ride organization as either Very Good or Good
- 92% rated the food as Very Good or Good.
This shows that cyclists are not a small vocal minority of very keen cyclists, but normal residents who like to ride every now and then and want cycling facilities improved. Something for councils to consider.
