Around The World in 90ks

Brief Ride report

6 Riders experienced a wonderful sunny Sydney Winter's day. There was a bit of a headwind for part of the return leg. The 'middle eastern' cultural experience in Auburn was heightened due to the fact that Turkey had just won the Euro 08 qualifier the night before. Heaps of people lined the streets wearing Turkish flags and red & white hats. Plenty of cars cruising the streets, draped with flags and horns blaring. The scenic route was taken to Bankstown where we enjoyed lunch in Asia. A few of us were feeling a little tired towards the end. An additional stop at Abbotsbury recharged the batteries for the climb to Moonrise lookout in Western Sydney Regional Park and then the (mostly) downhill run along the M7 path back to Rooty Hill. The ride ended up being about 98 km in length, and we made it back to Rooty Hill around 5pm.
