This is a reminder about the Bicycle User Group Needs Analysis online survey, please refer below for further details.
If your BUG hasn't yet completed the survey, we would value your input too. The survey deadline is Monday 2nd of July 2007, so please ensure you have completed this survey or forwarded it onto your BUG so it is filled out in time!

Dear Bicycle User Group Members,
The Cycling Promotion Fund believes that BUGs do a great job promoting and supporting cycling in their localities and workplaces.
We have engaged a consultant to undertake a survey on our behalf to assist us to get a clearer understanding of BUGs in Australia and to identify areas in which we can provide support and resources to strengthen the capacity of BUGs to achieve their vision and goals.
The survey has 12 sections:
- Location and coverage
- Membership and contacts
- Organisational and financial resources
- Organised rides
- Advocacy
- Risk and insurance
- Details of insurance
- Details of no insurance
- Training and skill development for members
- Training and skill development for public
- Communications and promotions
- Miscellaneous
Individual BUG responses will be kept confidential, but we will share the report and the summary of the findings with the cycling community.
We are using Survey Monkey which is an online survey software which enables Bicycle User Groups to fill in the survey online and it makes it easier and faster for us compile the information. You will need to fill in the online survey in one go (it should only take about 10 minutes) to assist with this process we have attached an electronic copy of the survey (this can be also downloaded on our website). We encourage you to print out the survey so you are able to prepare the information before filling in the online survey.

If you don't have web access, please refer to the pdf attachment with this email and post the completed survey to us. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding mailing the survey.
The online survey will skip some pages depending on how you answer some questions. All questions won't apply to all BUGs, so many of the questions are optional. But the more information you give us, the better we'll be able to find out what's needed.
The deadline for filling in the survey is Monday 2nd of July 2007.
